Lori Riddle-Walker is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in treating obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) in children and adults.

She also provides treatment for a subset of OCD called scrupulosity.

Services include:

• performing intake analysis,

• providing a diagnosis,

• formulating a treatment plan, and

• providing therapy.

Treatment will almost always include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which experts consider to be the first line of defense for OCD.

Properly diagnosing OCD is an extremely important first step. Unless a practitioner has the appropriate background and training, it is easy to misdiagnose and/or mistreat the disorder. Hours and Availability
Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Clients are welcome to call (760) 715-7273 any time and may leave a message on a confidential voice mail system. Every effort will be made to return calls within 24 hours (or by the next business day).

We are unable to provide 24-hour crisis service. In the event that a client is feeling unsafe or requires immediate medical or psychiatric assistance, the client should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. The San Diego County Department of Mental Health 24-hour Access and Crisis line number is (800) 479-3339.

Fee and Fee Arrangements
The usual fee for a 50-minute intake session or a regular 50-minute therapy session is $100. Sessions longer than 50 minutes are charged for the additional time pro rata. Advance notification will be provided for any fee changes.

Additionally, clients are responsible for payment of the agreed-upon fee (on a pro rata basis) for any telephone contact for purposes other than scheduling sessions. Clients are expected to pay for services at the time services are rendered. Cash or checks are accepted.

Clients are responsible for payment of the agreed upon fee for any missed session or for any session for which the client failed to give at least 24 hours notice of cancellation.

Insurance
Lori Riddle-Walker is a contracted Medi-Cal provider for San Diego County and Riverside County. She is not contracted with any other insurance company, HMO, or managed care organization.  PPO insurance can be billed directly, or if a client chooses to bill his or her insurance themselves, a statement can be provided which the client can submit to the third party to seek reimbursement of fees already paid.  Clients are responsible to pay all co-pays and deductibles each session.

Confidentiality
The information disclosed by a client is generally confidential and will not be released to any third party without written authorization from the client, except where required or permitted by law.

Exceptions to confidentiality, include, but are not limited to, reporting child, elder and dependent adult abuse, when a client makes a serious threat of violence toward a reasonably identifiable victim, or when a client is dangerous to himself or herself or the person or property of another.
